Shane Bolan, the Senior Technical Lead for Edgeworks at The Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, is a seasoned expert specializing in Game Engines. With a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Shane excels in crafting immersive experiences utilizing state-of-the-art technologies like Mixed Reality, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality, alongside Motion Capture Technology and various other human-computer interfaces. At the helm of technical innovation, Shane has been instrumental in developing groundbreaking projects in collaboration with the Awareness Lab, including The Wilds, a mesmerizing mixed media performance, and Quantum Sight, an ingenious AR spherical harmonics visualization, and many more. His unique blend of creativity and technical prowess allow him to continue to push the boundaries of interactive storytelling. In Shane’s work for the Carson Center, he has also contributed greatly to the development and instruction of college courses on Real-Time Performance, Virtual Production, and Augmented Worlds.
